At its center lies the mosaic-lined Santosha Pool beneath our iconic Guanacaste tree making it a striking gathering place where wellness, design, and social vibrancy come together effortlessly.

Our Founder

Diana Stobo is a visionary in modern wellness, known for her holistic approach to vitality, longevity, and mindful living. After transforming her own health journey, she became a passionate advocate for balanced and sustainable wellness, inspiring thousands to redefine their relationship with food, movement, and self-care.

She founded The Retreat Costa Rica as a place where luxury and healing coexist effortlessly, blending farm-to-table cuisine, Ayurvedic traditions, innovative spa therapies, and elevated culinary experiences into one seamless mountain-top escape.

Today, she leads the property alongside her partner and daughter, ensuring The Retreat remains rooted in family, intention, and authentic Costa Rican hospitality. Guests arrive as visitors and leave feeling part of something deeply personal.
