Staying at The Retreat Costa Rica was by far one of the best decisions of my life. I came for one of the week long Lifestyle Retreats with owner Diana Stobo. I found myself experiencing more than I ever could have imagined. I was hesitant about embarking on this journey as I am only 18 years old and have never left the US. The price was also difficult for my family but once I made it there, everything changed. I felt incredibly safe, blissful, and never wanted to leave! The staff became like family to me and were both extremely helpful as well as respectful. The Retreat is much more than just a hotel and can only be truly appreciated once it is experienced. It is so very difficult to contain such a beautiful and astonishing experience into words. It is absolutely something one must journey through themselves. I am already saving up to return!

In addition to the breathtaking location, the rooms are absolutely luxurious and comfortable. Even though I encountered a decent amount of bugs, as I visited during the green season, they did not bother me! My stay put me at such ease I felt as though nothing could even slightly bother/upset me. Some may feel wary about the food served at the Retreat because it is much healthier than most are use to. However, the Chefs are so very talented every meal becomes a divine journey. My trip allowed me to find peace within myself I never knew existed. I cannot recommend this place enough. If you are even slightly considering staying here, make it happen. Do not say to yourself, ``Maybe someday.`` Instead, act on this opportunity and you will not regret it. I would say this is a once in a lifetime experience but I without a doubt will not allow my first trip here to be my only one. I cannot wait to return!!

Words cannot fully describe my love for The Retreat and the individuals who work there. I found myself transitioning everyday and winding down. My soul was centered, my body was detoxed and my heart was opened. Diana has a special gem in this crystal mountain. Her words of wisdom and guidance will continue to carry me forward in life. Aerial yoga at sunset with Isa Dinerman brought calmness and restoration. The amazing chefs, Wilfredo, Sergio, Yendry and Brayan were amazing teachers of healthy food and passion in preparing for their guests. Bryant and Oscar kept the place running smoothly and the rest of the team always on top of making sure The Retreat was immaculatly clean. Thank you for restoring my soul and body. I look forward to many repeat visits to Costa Rica and The Retreat.
