Our History

Diana Stobo, the founder of The Retreat Costa Rica, embodies the belief that dreams can come true. A self-proclaimed spa junkie and "galactic hybrid," she envisioned a serene sanctuary where people could shed their burdens and create new beginnings, set against a backdrop of nature's tranquility. After struggling with health issues in 2001, Diana realized that true healing came from transforming her lifestyle through nutrition, movement, and emotional wellness, leading her to share her journey in her best-selling book, Get Naked Fast. In December 2013, she seized the opportunity to purchase a property sight unseen, and upon her arrival three months later, she was overjoyed to find it mirrored the visions she had dreamt of—a stunning crystal mountain landscape filled with organic gardens and the sounds of nature. With passion and determination, she turned her dreams into reality, creating a peaceful haven at The Retreat Costa Rica.
