The Healing Touch
The Retreat Spa Menu
Diana Stobo’s vision for THE RETREAT includes food as one of the core elements needed for better overall health, and our spa treatments are no different. THE RETREAT features “Farm to Spa” organic and delicious edible treatments, designed with the philosophy that food is medicine and fuel, not just for the inner body, but the exterior too. Our products are handcrafted fresh from the garden in our kitchen to bring you an exclusive experience that will nurture, relax, detox, enhance your beauty and incorporate natural healing into your life.
Heaven on Earth – Signature Massage
Being touched by angels is a special treat, and we offer a little slice of heaven in this 60-90 minute Retreat massage. Once nestled in the soft and cloud like bed, tucked in gently with loving hands, our therapist prepare a delightful sugar lavender scrub to gently exfoliate and refresh your tired feet to soothe, protect and open your senses to receive. As the lavender infuses into your cells, the gentle hands begin a smooth relaxing massage over your whole body using strategic techniques to help release muscle tension and promote an overall body surrender. This is a fantastic treatment for jet lag, travel lag, or simply nestling in “heaven on earth”.

Heart Opening – Deep Tissue Massage
“Opening the body, will open the heart, and from there, everything aligns”. It is true that stresses cause the body to grip and hold. Our “heart opening” 60-90 minute deep tissue massage experience is similar to Swedish massage, but goes deeper, releasing chronic stress and muscle tension. We focus on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia (the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints) to release blockages and increase circulation. Deep tissue opens meridian channels, reduces stress hormone levels and lowers heart rate while boosting mood and relaxation by triggering the release of oxytocin and serotonin.
60 Min $140 - 90 Min $180
Gentle Release – Lymphatic Drainage Massage
The lymphatic system is an invisible cellular pathway covering the entire body to protect us from harmful toxins. When toxins and impurities store in the cells they cause swelling and back up. The lymphatic system does not have its own pump to release and drain the toxins from the body and therefore must be stimulated by a gentle, light-touch, non-invasive technique. Our 60 minute “gentle release” brings qualified protocols to stimulate the lymphatic system and drain excess fluid from the body, stimulate toxin, remove impurities and reduce stress, pain and inflammation. This massage is very calming, and meditative, and is best when a soft and natural healing release is desired.

Breath of Fire – Hot Volcanic Stone Massage
Hot stones were once heated on the fire by Native Americans to treat aching muscles. Our “breathe of fire” 60-90 minute volcanic stones massage are strategically placed on each Chakra and used as an extension of the therapists hands to balance and calm energies in the body. The direct heat of the stones relaxes muscles, allowing access to deeper muscle layers. Hot stones also expand blood vessels, which encourages blood flow throughout the body and bring more oxygen to the muscles. The stones also have a sedative effect that can relieve chronic pain, reduce stress and anxiety disorders and promote deep relaxation. Combining hot stone protocols with a full body massage allows a very healing and effective experience.

The Essential – Bamboo Massage
Little trigger points exist in areas of our body that get “stuck”. They inhibit free movement and lock down areas of tissue and circulation that should be flowing. Our “essential” 60 minute massage combines clearing essential oils with bamboo (trigger point) techniques, to access the little areas that inhibit movement. Bamboo massage incorporates bamboo stalks of varying lengths and diameters to provide deep-penetrating maneuvers for deep tissue work. On the body and face, the bamboo is used to detoxify and regenerate energy. The “essential” massage is ideal for promoting circulation, enhancing sensory nerve perception, stimulating lymphatic drainage and providing a deep sense of relaxation.
